There's nothing quite like snuggling up in soft wool garments during the chilly months. Wool is a natural fiber that breathes naturally, and with proper care, it can last for many seasons. Surprisingly, washing wool at home is better than dry cleaning, as the harsh chemicals used in the latter can damage the fabric over time.

To ensure your woolens stay in pristine condition, follow these fail-safe steps for safely cleaning and refreshing them this winter:

Step 1: Pre-Treat
To avoid any chance of shrinking, begin by soaking your wool items in cold to lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes before washing. During this time, you can gently spot treat any stains you come across. You can be environmentally conscious by reusing the water from soaking to hand wash the items or simply tip it into the washing machine as it fills up.

Step 2: Separate and Protect
If you choose to machine wash your woolens, always keep them separate from your regular laundry, especially those with zips or buttons that could cause friction and damage. Additionally, to prevent pilling, turn your wool garments (including socks!) inside out before washing. This simple step protects them from unnecessary agitation during the washing process.

Step 3: The Wash
Our Laundry Detergent Strips are perfect for taking care of wool and delicate fabrics. Simply drop one into your hand washing tub or the washing machine, and let it work its magic. For an extra touch of freshness, add a capful of Plant-Based Delicate Wash, which imparts a subtle eucalyptus scent to your woollies. However, avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these products can harm the wool fibers and diminish their ability to regulate body temperature.

Step 4: Drying Time
To further extend the life of your wool garments and minimize your environmental impact, opt for air drying. Whenever possible, hang them out in the sun to benefit from the natural antibacterial properties of sunlight. However, when it comes to wool jumpers and knitwear, always flat dry them to maintain their shape and avoid stretching. If you find the need to remove excess water, set your tumble dry to the lowest setting possible.

With these easy steps, you can keep your beloved woolens fresh, cozy, and in excellent condition throughout the winter season. By caring for your wool garments at home using gentle methods and eco-friendly products, you not only ensure their longevity but also contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment. So, let's embrace the joys of winter with our well-maintained, snuggly woollies.

Omicron Logistics Status Update | 12th Jan 22

The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has further impacted the logistics industry. This includes many courier drivers, warehouse staff, forklift drivers, container unpack crews and administrators.

Due to the widespread impact of Omicron infections, our partnered carriers across the network are experiencing both a surge in parcel deliveries and major disruptions to their delivery services. With a significant number of people in self-isolation in accordance with state regulations and public health orders, delivery delays are expected across the network due to driver shortages, depots experiencing temporary closures and/or operating with significantly reduced staff.

This has also created some lags in tracking details being updated on carrier websites.

Please allow (at least) an extra 14 business days on top of your estimated date for arrival.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
